The water in my swimming pool is milky... what can I do?

It is cloudy and has turned white due to the presence of calcium

Measures to effectively combat milky water

Brush and clean

the walls and bottom of the pool with the floor brushes and corner brushes to remove limescale. > Floor brushes, Corner brushes

Remove limescale deposits

using a vacuum cleaner. If the limescale does not come off with the brush, lower the water level below the deposits and clean with Decalcit Super. > Decalcit^® Super

Fill the pool

After thoroughly cleaning your pool, fill it up to adjust the water level.

Adjust the pH of the water

with pH-Minus or pH-Plus. Adjust the pH to between 7.0 and 7.4 if you are treating with chlorine. For bromine treatments, adjust the pH to between 7.4 and 7.6. With a balanced pH, treatment products are more effective. > pH Minus, pH Plus

Prevent limescale deposits

To protect your pool, add Calcinex as soon as you fill it. This will prevent new limescale deposits and stains or discoloration caused by metals. > Calcinex^®

Filter 24/7

until the water is crystal clear again. Then resume your normal daily filtration routine. If necessary, replace the filter material (sand, Eco Filterglass Plus, or AFM)
